TAFT Foundation seeks to create long-term educational impact by connecting peer learning, youth leadership development, mentorship, and educational opportunity.
Our work is grounded in the belief that high-potential Grades 8-12 students from underserved communities possess valuable leadership potential that is often overlooked or underdeveloped within traditional educational systems.
Through research-informed SPFL leadership development for high-potential Grades 8-12 students, reflective program development, and collaborative partnerships, TAFT aims to support not only their academic growth, but also leadership identity development, peer engagement, and future educator pathways.

LONG-TERM IMPACT
TAFT’s long-term vision is to help strengthen educational equity and expand diversity within the future educator workforce through youth leadership development, peer learning, and mentorship.
By empowering underserved high-potential students to serve as peer tutors, peer learning leaders, mentors, and future educators, TAFT hopes to contribute to more inclusive, collaborative, and opportunity-rich learning communities while advancing diversity in the U.S. teaching workforce.
EMERGING AREAS OF IMPACT
As the TAFT Program and SPFL framework continue to develop, TAFT hopes to expand leadership opportunities, peer learning experiences, mentorship pathways, and school-community collaboration for underserved high-potential students. The TAFT Foundation also aims to strengthen reflective program development through ongoing research, evaluation, and collaborative learning. TAFT views impact as an evolving and reflective process that develops through implementation, collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
FUTURE STORIES OF CHANGE
TAFT hopes to support meaningful educational experiences that encourage high-potential Grades 8-12 students to grow into capable peer tutors, confident and engaged learners, peer mentors, learning leaders, and future educators.
As the TAFT Program, the Scalable Peer Flux Leadership (SPFL) framework, and partnerships continue to evolve, TAFT plans to share emerging stories of leadership development, peer collaboration, mentorship, and educational opportunity from participating students, educators, and community partners.
