Educational Opportunity, Leadership Development, and Future Educator Pathways

At TAFT Foundation, our programs are designed to empower underserved students while expanding educational opportunity, cultivating youth leadership, and strengthening pathways into the education profession. Through a combination of academic support, peer tutoring and mentoring, leadership development, and scholarship opportunities, TAFT creates learning environments where students can grow both academically and personally.

Our programs are intentionally interconnected. Support programs provide foundational academic resources and opportunities for students, while the TAFT Program cultivates teaching skills and leadership through structured peer tutoring and mentoring systems.

These experiences also inform the development of the Scalable Peer Flux Leadership (SPFL) framework, which explores how youth leadership can emerge through collaborative peer-learning environments. Together, TAFT’s programs form an integrated ecosystem that connects academic support, leadership development, and long-term pathways toward the education profession, contributing to greater diversity within the U.S. teaching workforce.
