TAFT ACADEMY

Nurturing Talent, Curiosity, and Leadership from an Early Age

TAFT Academy

TAFT Academy is a future educational initiative envisioned for high-potential learners ages 2–16, particularly those from underserved communities with limited access to advanced learning and enrichment opportunities.

The Academy is envisioned as a learning environment where young students can explore their interests, strengthen academic foundations, develop creativity, and grow with guidance from educators and mentors who understand the needs of advanced learners.

While the TAFT Program focuses on peer learning and youth leadership development for students in Grades 8–12, TAFT Academy is envisioned as a broader future learning environment for high-potential learners ages 2–16. Together, these initiatives reflect TAFT Foundation’s long-term commitment to expanding educational opportunity across different stages of student development.

TAFT Academy remains a future initiative. Its development will depend on philanthropic support, community partnerships, and the resources needed to build a sustainable, high-quality learning environment for underserved high-potential students.

Leadership & Character Development

Students may develop confidence, responsibility, communication skills, teamwork, and leadership capacity through collaborative projects, service-learning opportunities, mentorship experiences, and age-appropriate leadership activities.

Mentorship & Community Connections

Students may learn alongside mentors, educators, community leaders, and older student role models who help expand their horizons and support their personal and academic growth.

Research-Informed Talent Development

Drawing on emerging educational research and the SPFL framework, TAFT Academy seeks to create learning environments that nurture both academic excellence and leadership development while supporting the unique strengths of high-potential learners.

Family Engagement & Support

TAFT Academy also envisions opportunities for families to participate in workshops, learning events, and community activities that help support student growth both inside and outside the learning environment.

TAFT Academy is envisioned as more than a school. It is a long-term effort to create educational environments where high-potential students from diverse and underserved backgrounds can thrive academically, develop leadership skills, build meaningful relationships, and discover pathways to future impact.
